GCRF Trade, Development and the Environment Hub: Catchment Leadership Network

The Catchment Leadership Network was established to significantly advance catchment management practices by fostering strategic business engagement, identifying and addressing barriers, and developing enablers for a sustainable model in the UK and Ireland. The network focuses on strengthening institutional capacities, including financial mechanisms and governance approaches, to improve catchment management. It also emphasizes capturing and applying best practices and facilitating the delivery of exemplary cross-sector catchment management schemes and partnerships.

The network’s approach involves a two-phase programme. In Phase 1, the focus is on collaborating with specific catchment projects to identify challenges and develop, implement, and test solutions. Phase 2 leverages insights from these test cases to scale up the delivery of additional catchment projects and engage with relevant policy mechanisms.
